Access & Early Diagnosis Track

26th November – 09:00 – 10:15 – Session I
Education Track

Are Current Frameworks Useful to Capture the Value of Personalised Medicine Technologies? Are Other Frameworks/Methodologies Required?

Classically clinical and economic data have concentrated the efforts of systems when determining value and informing decisions. However, these approaches have failed in achieving the many sides. Value can be defined from many sides but from Health Technology Assessment perspective includes, at least, clinical, economic, social, legal, ethical and organizational issues related to the technology to be analysed.

New methodological approaches have been proposed to capturing value and informing decisions. Among them, EU funded projects, such as ADHopHTA, INTEGRATE-HTA or ADVANCE-HTA have attempted to provide insights on how to face the problem. This session will bring those methodologies to the audience and its applicability to PM solutions.
